GRIT Auctions is a Colorado-based, premium online auction company specializing in commercial liquidations and equipment sales. We help consignors maximize the value of their assets through a seamless, results-driven auction experience. Our expertise spans construction, agriculture, and small business sectors, allowing us to sell a wide range of equipment—from mini excavators and skid steers to commercial front loaders and specialized attachments.

GRIT Auctions was built on a foundation of experience, innovation, and a passion for delivering results. Our founder, JP O’Hanlon, was one of the first employees at Equip-Bid.com Auctions, where he played a pivotal role in developing processes and streamlining operations during the company’s early days. As Equip-Bid conducted its first auctions, JP recognized the tremendous value an online auction platform could bring to both sellers and buyers.

After helping Equip-Bid establish a strong operational framework, JP pursued a law degree and went on to build a successful career in consumer service and technology businesses, honing his skills in operational management, process optimization, and business strategy. But the desire to build something of his own never left.

In late 2024, the time was right to bring that vision to life. JP partnered with Equip-Bid.com to launch GRIT Auctions, extending the platform’s proven success into Colorado, where there was a noticeable gap in quality auction services. By leveraging Equip-Bid’s established reputation, technology, and expansive bidder base, GRIT Auctions is uniquely positioned to offer consignors unmatched expertise and market reach.
